Just found this video on Youtube of a guy playing Mozart's Rondo Alla Turka gypsy jazz style. It's absolutely awesome and I think you'll LOVE it. We might need Micah back on lead guitar to copy this one! Check it out:

Our gig in Wales last weekend at Helen and Dave's wedding went down a treat with lots of dancing and merriment. Our new version of the cantina song from starwars went down particularly well with the groom who is a big fan. We'll post our gypsy jazz version on youtube once we manage to edit the video! Detor Conquer Wales...Again!!

Well I think the welsh must love a bit of gypsy jazz because we're back there to play at a wedding in monmouthshire this weekend. After the success of our trips to Kev's groovy (okay, well at least uber friendly) home town of Porthcawl we're set for a welsh take-over bid. Out and about in the city

There's so much going on in the nooks and crannies of Exeter's outskirts. Most of Detor ended up at a fantastic party at Powderham Crescent on sunday for Chris's birthday (check out Chris's band: www.myspace.com/spin2folk). There were masses of musicians, oodles of food and drink and a great atmosphere.

We have a confirmed slot at the Aeon festival (check out facebook/detorexeter for news) and we'll be out and about gigging locally so keep an eye on our facebook or follow us on twitter for updates straight to your mobile phone.

Detor at The Grapevine

We had a great time at The Grapevine in Exmouth last night: thanks to Richie for asking us to play and for inviting us back. It's an exciting new venue in Exmouth with a rather sophisticated crowd, but after a few glasses of wine we managed to lure them all onto the dancefloor. Spring Watch festival at Yarner Wood

Detor just played a fantastic set at the Spring Watch Festival at Yarner Wood near Bovey Tracey on sunday. It was a great chance to practice some of our new tunes and feel inspired by the unusual venue. It was a beautiful day in fantastic woodland surroundings. Perfect.
